Students are expected to learn everything at once

Lecturers treat English like another subject where you can absorb everything by doing exercises like filling in the blanks.

Most of the experts forget about the natural method of learning English such as a baby learning their mother tongue by absorbing the sound of a language.

Listening and understanding the language is way more important than learning and juggling through complex grammar exercises.

Limited time allocation on speaking one on one

Most IELTS programs are decided based on their time allocation for speaking via group activities. This would only allow star students to perform while most of the students in class go into hiding. They do not even get to listen to their own sound most of the time. Therefore it is important to conduct one on one speaking sessions.

Not providing enough direct and continuous feedback.

The normal classroom would consist of 30-40 students. This would result in most of the students ending up without even achieving a minimum level of speaking fluency after spending years of time in classes.

Providing little to no importance to Pronunciation.

Most of the local lecturers do not use the correct way of pronouncing the words. This would result in most of the students beginning their journey with faulty ways of pronouncing the language.

Unnecessary focus on the correction.

Traditional learning methods are based on correction. This would lead most of the students to build anxiety in English. Teaching programs are designed more on finding mistakes rather than improving performance.
